I visited my dealer today and ordered a new 4 door WRX in WR blue for March 1st or thereabouts delivery. Dealer phoned me later in the afternoon to say that there were no WR blue 4 doors in the country on the national database, also no Blue/black mica. They said I would have to wait until mid April for WR blue.
My dilema: Do I go for silver or green for quick delivery in March or wait for the WR blue ? Can't seem to make up my mind Vote here now please....

Mate ,
I went to dealer with intention of buying silver one and fell in love with wr blue.

I can honestly say that the car looks no better in any other colour (you know how sometimes once you've had it a while you think another colour looks better - Hasn't happened this time)

I know it's easy for me to say but WAIT. I couldn't wait from Aug to Sept for new reg!!!!

Get the colour you really want - if you like WR blue (personally, I love it), then it will be worth the short wait. After all, if you go for your second choice, you'll be upset every time you see your preferred colour on the road. And what's a few weeks wait, when you'll (hopefully) keep the car for a long while....

Go for the silver! Everyone else will have WR Blue or Blue/Black. Get a big wing and the foglight cover plates things (I'm sure someone will do a copy) and you'll have the only silver STi 'Prodrive Style'. I bet salsa-king can knock up the stickers, too.

Go for the Scooby right now!!!! not for the colour: IMPREZAS were made to be driven , not to be watched. Do not waste time any further ! Happiness is there and it's waiting for you!!!! When you'll come out of a corner at the light speed you won't certainly think at your car's colour!!!! You're buying a Subaru and that's what Impreza is.

Wow, my gf said, I don't like blues but this one really stands out!

Green is great if you smoke a pipe @ the wheel.

Quick note...if you are intending on buying the front or rear lower spoilers they come pre painted in silver. Therefore no painting needed on a silver car . Saves you aprox £300. I had a silver one and think its by far the best colour....everyone has the WR blue or DBM.

Davyboy,

That white of yours looks ace with the gold wheels, reminds me of the Jap spec STI's. Now you've set me thinking.....

Davyboy,

No problem, I know a good car when I see one. White would save me £££ as well (extra charge for metallic as you know!)

I have a green MY01 and I love it!

More a British Racing Green clone rather than the previous greens.

Certainly stands out amongst the see of WR Blues, I can find mine more easily!

Yorkie,

It will be your car, not ours. Go with your personal preference and we will respect you to the max (even if you choose the mica slimey).

Keep us up with what you opt for.

I wanted a WR Blue one, until I saw it on a very sunny day. Too much in your face for my liking.

But then again, I am getting on a bit

Thanks for your opinions, I forgot about the Dark blue mica, I am now considering a choice between that colour and silver. I can't wait to get my hands on a MY02 even though I have a MY99. I still like the WR blue, but I now want to get behind the wheel ASAP. The Dark blue mica should polish up to a wicked shine

Don't want to throw a spanner in, but blue-black looks very good, especially with Morettes....

Yorkie - I'd personally go for the colour you want, it is a lot of money you're shelling out at the end of the day so you want it to be right .... WR Blue is top draw (Knowlesy's is superb with massive rear spoiler, 18" OZ alloys, etc.) but also looks cool in silver

Tough decision!!
