Yes I know I know! Gona do something with them one day but not quite sure what yet.

Yes the lights have to come out but is pretty easy, just need a wee bit of force to pop them out from next to the wing panels. See the link in the post above. Maybe its the photo but all I did was detango then spray the removable chromed part with satin black after a good sand down.. As for the rears, thats just a case of new bulbs. Go for Philips Siver vision as they are far superior to Silvatec.

You could de badge the front grill,
all you need is a hacksaw, a file, sand paper, primer and some black spray.

I really like that grille. If I knew I wouldn't **** it up i'd give it a go myself

No one has mentioned debadging. That costs nothing if you have some tar remover.

Looks like an air intake to me. Fog light has probably been removed and a hole cut in the cover for the intake pipe to fit perfectly. Nice mod

I just mentioned that incase you thought the fog light was still behind it.

Just buy a forced air induction kit with a cold air feed. It's the end of the cold air feed that's showing through the fog light cover. The other end is at the air filter. You could even just buy a regular induction kit and run a cold air feed so it was pointing at it. That would be more for show than improving performance though.

This is a forced air kit with feed below.

Should also mention that I wouldnt recommend fitting this without speaking to someone that has a good knowledge of Subarus first. These kits can take in alot more air than the standard air box so a remap may be needed so the car doesnt run lean. Just being on the cautious side, because wouldnt want you going out and buying this only to have it damage your engine. I'm getting an apexi power FC fitted and mapped soon, and I think i'll buy a forced air kit and fit it prior to mapping.

Induction-Kit - buy online today

Thats just one website, there are loads that sell these kits. Just type 'induction kits' or 'forced air induction kits' etc into google.

Most of the companies that make kits(K&N, Pipercross, Blitz etc), do a forced air kit, so have a look around until you see one you like.

I have this thread for instructions on the de-tango How to clear MY04 headlights - photo instructions - NASIOC

I'm about to do this mod but slightly concerned about the cooking part - any advice is most welcome from anyone who has done this?!

I've done this twice now and haven't used the oven so can't comment on that. I used an electric fan heater and placed the light unit about a foot away and kept rotating it for equal warming. After 15 mins or so you can gently prise the light apart.

Yeh an electric fan heater. I didn't have it too hot though. I kept the light unit as it was when I removed it from the car complete with wires bulbs the lot. Thats why I kept the unit about a foot away from the heat. You just want a gentle heat, nothing to strong. All you are doing is making the mastic soft, you don't want to melt it completely. There are other methods off doing this but this one seemed to work just fine for me.

Coilovers aren't really appropriate for the 'fantastic' road surfaces in my area of the woods, so its just good old lowered springs.

As for my custom intake, it goes from the funnel, to the standard airbox with a K&N panel filter. Got it remapped to 280/310 shortly after as i also fully decatted it and fitted an Sti top mount.
