Default Whistley Window!

When driving on the autobahn at over 120mph, something starts to whistle. I don't do it very often, but it's annoying and clearly highlighting a "gap". I can't say that I have noticed water, but it's gets kinda steamy at the carwash.

Any suggestions?

It's the top of the window rattling slightly at high speed. If you lower the window a touch it will stop (and you don't have to lower it enough so that the windows open if that makes sense)

(For some reason it only appears to be the drivers side normally)

Err...when this used to happen to me it was caused by the wind whistling over the parked wiper blades. You might want to look at that aspect as well.

My MY03 STI did this and it seemed to be coming from the n/s top of the front pillar. I particularly noticed it when the car was doing 150. (on a track)

my classic used to do it on the passenger side when I was on the autobahn at 120 plus mph. just wind it down a mm or 2 and it will stop

When I was on the track or was it the autobahn doing 120mph. It's the frameless doors that do it. At high speed air gets through the rubber seal and the glass.

my classic does this at anything above 40 from the front passenger side its from the rubber on the inside right in the bottom front corner , i just have to reach over and pull the rubber towards me and let go that reseals it ,no water, no noise,no cost

My bugeye has the same, a whistle that only seems to start at about 110 from the nearside a pillar area - on a private road of course

its pretty normal as the windows have no frames so at high speeds the whistleing starts . cant do much about it tbh
