life in the old girl yet
Hi there
Just had my old girl fitted with a uni chip at dastek an all i can say is life begins at 132000 miles!!!!
Ive spent a fair bit on her as I couldnt bring myself to part with her.
Dastek recommended a fuel pump and regulator upgrades as well. They fitted a walboro fuel pump and an aeromotive regulator that I had sourced from flat4online.
The initial dyno run showed 220bhp and 195lbs of torque.
That was with a green panel filter, high flow downpipe with 100 cell cat, decatted centre section and a pro drive backbox.
After 4 hours of mapping on the dyno I was there when the final power run was done.......what a result! 258bhp and 255lbs of torque.
It now produces more torque at 3000rpm than when it did as peak!!
Its more or less producing the same power at the wheels as it used to make at the flywheel an its all mapped to my engine.
The difference is fantastic. Nice an easy, smooth around town then hit 3000rpm and it takes off. On the motorways theres no need to take 4th for a brisk overtake although its more fun.
Wasnt cheap but I have total faith in them after seeing how proffessional a set up it is there.
