Default slightly smaller front number plates....

Where do you guys get them from? and have you any pictures of the slightly smaller plates which will fit on the bumper between the grill and the large gap for the front mount below.

i'm not too sure of the dimensions to order from any ofthe plate web sites.

Any pictures would be a great help.

Thanks
Minty

Go to Custom Number Plates - Reflective Acrylic Car Registration plates (UK and Ireland), you can click on view my scooby on my profile to see a 3/4 size plate fitted to the front of my 22b. Hope this helps

Got mine from Custom Number Plates - Reflective Acrylic Car Registration plates (UK and Ireland)

It's standard font, just slightly smaller. Never had a problem with it. When I get the car MOTed I just keep a normal size one in the car and tell them to change it over if they think it'll fail because of it. But hasn't yet been swapped.

Its the size of the font and the spacing that is governed by law, not the size of the number plate. Most people, with seven character number plates will have to have the same minimum size of course, but if you have a five character registered number then you can have a correspondingly smaller registration plate. Certain imported vehicles are allowed to use motorcycles character and spacing, where they dont have provision for a standard format registration plate.

Dont think any of these are really legal. I got stopped for one I had a while ago and it was probably 3/4 the size of the normal. I have got a 5 letter private reg now, and I just cut the plate down to the outside of the letters to make the plate look smaller, but the letters are full UK standard size.

i just want a slightly smaller plate, not a tiny motor bike plate as i appreciate that scooby's will attract attention anyway.

I just want it slightly smaller if poss with my 6 character plate.

Then i'll mount it just above where the guys in these pics have theirs.

Cheers for your ideas guys.
