What to do after removing decal/badge
Just removed the "Impreza 2000 turbo awd" sticker on bootlid my classic and even after getting rid of all the resdiue you can still see where the badge used to be.
Anything I can I do about this? No worries long term as the bootlid needs respraying, but in the short term?

If it is really obvious, sand the area with 1000 grade wet and dry, use wet with some washing up liquid in the water. Get all the area to a uniform matt finish ( dont sand too hard as you can go through the paint ! ) then polish with Autosol metal polish.
