I'm sure that does wonders for the drag coefficient.
You might go faster due to the kgs saved, but soon as you get to a decent speed I'm sure the increased drag will slow you down more than the lack of weight.

I was going too fast for anyone to nick bits from the exposed engine bay. !!!
Road crap and rain was not an issue and a good steam clean took care of the crap anyhow.
The Red Classic was a 96 P Reg with 411 bhp from memory on one of my TD05-06 20gs and it had two Darlington/County Durham owners. I have no idea where it is now but I think it went down the country somewhere South of Birmingham.
Under bonnet temps were not an issue bearing in mind there was no bonnet but it was necessary to fit the scoop above the TMIC to keep ACTs under control.
I must say I was impressed with the functionality of the duck tape I used but I couldn't get any in the right paint code.

Interesting to see that Scoobynet has "ads by Google" on the right hand side of the page and no doubt uses keywords on that page in the hope that advertisers can reach out to viewers on the site and hence buy or check out their products. Keywords such as "Harvey" S etc, the furniture store, but can someone tell me how the heck they got the key words for this one??

Can't help you there Alan. **** ****** are not something I have any experience of.
Why would this get points unless you were drinking cider Steve ?
The car did go all the way from Darlington to Harbury without a bonnet (190 miles) and went through some exceptionally heavy rain and did not miss a beat. Nathan, David and the lads were quite amused and had a new bonnet fitted within minutes of my arrival.

I suppose its time to show you my weight saving idea picture I took last year and its even better than removing just the bonnet....
...not sure it will catch on though
Sorry I could not resist. I'll leave quietly.

Scoobymad : That is illegal. For a start you don't have any brakes or number plates
Steve :Certainly not unroadworthy. Unusual, different and unconventional perhaps. What moving parts would these be ? I don't agree it is illegal to drive without a bonnet as I did. I passed a static Volvo Estate at Dishforth and the driver had a good look and I think there was another one, two up just before the M69/Leicester turn off, a BMW this time I think plus several VOSA 4 x 4s doing a steady 60 plus numerous surveillance cameras.
Had I thought it was illegal it would not have happened.
Current format !

Steve: if Harvey knocks you over at 70mph (or any speed actually) and you have the presence of mind to steal his tasty anodised pulleys, then I applaud you.

I think running with no bonnet may be a reason to stop you but it is unlikely any prosecution would result but who cares because as you can see above the car now sports an alloy bonnet.
I think some of you guys have raised some very valid points now that I have thought about it. Even although there are no predestrians around here at 06:00 on a morning or indeed Police and I havn't seen any pedestrians all the way from the A1M to the M69. There could be an odd one or two on the back roads to Harbury that might want to commit suicide so if I ever have to do it again I will fit the pulley covers that were on the car when I first got it.
Simon : The idea of a pedestrian running down the M1 at 70 mph is a bit far fetched
