Has anyone else noticed an increase in the price of Optimax in their area?
It's gone back up to 75.9 a litre in my local Shell

Managed to pay 73.9 last night... in Derby.

Noticed that Optimax is better priced than SUL in say ESSO, but still varies lots..

Anyone gots tanker so we can do a group buy?

Saw SUL at 79.9 the other month... refused to pay that much and got Optimax a mile up the road for 74.9!

Wink

I think they should cover the normal unleaded prices up when I drive into the petrol station then I wouldn't feel so bad...
trying to train myself not to look...

Nearly managed it last night was rejoining the main road from the forcourt and looking left and right to pull out and glaced at the sign, by accident! arrgggghhh!..

Still worth every penny extra both in power/mpg and smoothness of the engine

A217 Reigate Shell 73.9
Purley Shell 76.9 !!
Very strange !!

Just a quck note, how far out of your way would you go for the discount price ?
Is it worth it for maybe 60p on a tank ? STI small tank

Andy, only if you fancy a drive, then you might as well drive towards the station.
By using a cheaper petrol station do you keep there prices down?
And if people dont use dear stations does it force there price down or cause them to go under?
Any owners out there!

Neveryoumind,

I use the one on the ring road at Gleedless town end, I live in Hackenthorpe and have a Texaco and BP much nearer but I prefer to go a bit further for quality fuel, the cost difference is worth it and it gives me an excuse to go out in mi scoob

Must say it did go up to 73.9 a couple of weeks ago but it’s definitely back at 72.9 now. At least it was this morning.

Cheers

Chris

Thinking about it, the one at south Anston might be closer to me. Never thought about that one

Must try it sometime, assuming its 72.9 of course

Cell:-
Anything must beat going down the most right-foot-twitchingly tempting 40mph dual carriageway within the city boundary
(when the schoolkids aren't there obviously)

I must be looking at the diesel pump when I see 73.9 then, just hope I never have to pick it up B)

At the Shell garage in Wokingham the regular unleaded has gone up by a penny - obviously they thought with everybody's attention on train strikes they could sneak the price up with nobody noticing

Neveryoumind - how much is SUL at the other side of the traffic lights in S. Anston at Esso?? Coming up soon to see the folks who live near by, will be filling up at one of these stations (does this label me as a lazy ba**tard??!).

I pay 79.9p per litre for SUL down here ....

Cheers
