cleaned my car thoroughly on sunday, and i took half the interior out to dust and polish it all properly.

I took out the entire centre console, and the only buttons on it are for the mirror controls (electronically adjustable mirrors, not folding) and there are a few wires that are plugged into the unit with the buttons for the mirror,

But there is also another set of wires with a plug on the end which looks like it should plug into something, but there is nothing for it to plug into?


does anybody have any ideas on what this may plug into?

I have the same on mine, don't worry about it, it is probably for summat your car doesn't have by default.

i see. any idea what it could be for? if the wirings already there it may not be hard to wire up what ever could be there

I have it to MY00. Maybe its for DCCD.

hmm, or perhaps electric folding mirrors?

wouldn't have thought it was DCCD as the uk spec never had it? so therefore the wiring loom that was made for the uk spec cars wouldn't need it...

(obviously im talking basically talking out my **** with guesses just trying to sound intellegent)

Nope, I fitted the elec folding mirrors to mine. It use's the same plug as the UK mirrors, just the last two plug points are blanked out.
I wouldn't normally have thought it would have been DCCD based on the whole JDM/UK thing, but I had most of the loom for the electric mirrors in my UK car already. So I wouldn't rule it out.

hmm. would a wiring diagram display what the wire is for?
