if you broke a bone there should be swelling or unbearable pain best thing is to get it checked out end of the day you pay your taxes so GP's get there money... do yourself a favour and get yourself down there

sounds painful, i over recent years have been with the attitude if in doubt get it checked out, for various health problems which in the end turned out to be needing attention,
p.s hope its nothing to serious.

See a Doctor, keep an eye on your urine if you start to pass blood then you may have bruised a kidney.A mate of mine had a simpler problem, got injured playing Rugby........very painful. Or cracked a rib.....He did that as well !

Don't know if this is appropriate, and I feel stupid writing this, but here goes.
Basically I was in a rush today to get to the bank, running I somehow missed a step and stacked it, I landed awkwardly and my lower back left side hit the edge of the curb while my elbow suffered severe grazing. (I looked a right plonker, but thank god there was only an old lady about, who didn't seem like she noticed )
Anyway, my back (area just above the hip on my back left side) is aching now.
I'm hoping it's just bruised muscle and swelling.
But how do I know I haven't done serious damage, like break something?
Should I worry and go to see my GP (dont really want to be wasting their time)
Anyone advise me?

Nah mate get it check out. GP's are on 100k a year for a reason
I think your health is more important than you thinking your wasting their time.

lol
Yep your probably right, however we had someone in the other day who had slipped changing a light bulb, landed on his back, damaged a kidney. Didnt know about it at the time 3 hours later had to have a kidney removed. The kidney was quite a mess.

My "is he dead" comment was very tongue in cheek and I dont really think he was serious in any way if he decided the best medical advice he could get was from a car forum.... you are forgiven my friend.. lol
