Default Hi all... newbie with '04 WRX

Thought i'd say hi.. been registered since i bought my '04 WRX SL a couple of months ago. Its my first Scooby, and am loving it

Few pics:

Apart from giving it a quality detail (I've done 2 panels so far..) I've got a few jobs to do on it..

1. Get the front speakers working
2. Get a quieter exhaust (deafening currently)
3. Replace cracked foglight

My only whinge so far is the parking lights, which I found the car had by accident - after accidentally putting them on, and then finding the battery flat 4 days later when I went to take it out...Grrrr. Never mind, wont do it again now I know where the switch is!!

Get yourself a Prodrive backbox off ebay. There's usually loads to choose from. Gives you the burble without upsetting the wife or neighbours.

Be prepared to pick up some flak for having the STi badge on your boot - some netters don't like it - personally I don't have a problem - my WRX has plenty of STi brick-a-brack attached

If you're going for the STi look, get some front fog light covers from your local dealer. Probably cheaper than replacing the glass!

Hmmm, i know what you mean. I've had a few bmws over the years, and have always resisted sticking an M3 badge on the back for the very same reason!

Nice motor...and you got the leather seats. So jealous.

And as for the STi badge...you know what they say... less is more...
debadge the whole boot... the blob lights really suit it and looks way better imo

why would you want to put M3 badges or STi badges on??? Its very obvious if your car is neither than these and personally I would just find it imbarrasing.

"oh nice m3 mate"

"urmm no, actually its a 316..."

Eh? I didnt say i would? I was saying I hadn't put any on before. The STi badge on the scooby is from the previous owner...and to be honest i'd not given it much thought... i've been too busy cleaning/driving/drooling over the car
