Ask yourself are you louder than a truck going uphill? That's the amount of noise you've got to play with

Cool

G`Morning too you all

Just fitted Scoobysport back box.

The sound is just a nice grumble, not a boy racer bark, which is good, thanks for all the advice every one.

Had few complaints all ready. What is the legal side of the loudness. Sods Law i will get stopped. This worries me as i have not removed the cat yet, which means it can be even louder.

Just a wee point the exhaust sits pretty close to the drive shaft.

Anyways

BRILLIANT!!!!!!

Been bombing through some narrow streets.
A few people have said it is quite loud.
I am off to try a tunnel.

Just a quickie.

Some one mentioned breach of the peace.

Can this be enforced or am I just being over worried about it

Order up a catless midsection and a downpipe and then see what people think!

Thumbs down

Been testing the new system today.
It is roughly 1 mph slower at the top speed when its hitting the limiter through the gears.

Yep sounds nice thro a tunnel.

Unless you change the gearbox / gear ratios (or wheels) on your car, then you will always get the same speed out of each of the gears at certain RPM. Changing the exhaust will make no difference to the maximum speed that can be reached in each gear, it may alter (hopefully shorten) the time it takes to get there though.

... because you have more power, which allows the engine to rev higher in top gear.

Ditto Pete - I make do with the underground car park at my local Safeway - always good to set off the odd alarm or two
