For the 'points' (for want of a better description) to be able to pass through the caliper body without catching, the rotordisc (at its largest point) can only be the same diameter as standard. This would suggest that the swept area of disc on the rotordiscs is less than the standard discs due to the missing surface area between the 'points' ?

I fitted some Rotordisc to my Golf GTi and they were fine to start with but wore really quickly (or I might have been a bit hard on them) but for the price i dont think I would go for them again.
