Does the spare wheel fit over AP 4 pots?
#1
Have not tried this but I was informed the other week that my spare on an sti 5 would not fit over the AP 4 pots (16 inch variety)
can anyone confirm whether this is correct - to save me the hassle of checking
Thanks

Even if it won't fit ...
<this was explained to me by my dealer - the spare wheel will surely not fit over my Alcon kit>
If one of the front tyres is flat:
. jack up car and remove one of the rear wheels (same side)
. put spare wheel on
. jack up front and remove flat
. replace flat with rear wheel
Voila... problem solved

Maybe worth considering buying a full size alloy!
I mean do you want to be limited to 50mph!!!
Could be worth 4 people getting together and 'group buying' a set of alloys!!
Just a thought!
Andy
Ps - Before you ask I have 5 P1 wheels, and may need some more!! See

Hi
Just to add to the confusion I think there are two different space saver spares.
When I fitted the later Subaru 4 pots to my MY98(originally 2 pots) my space saver would not fit over them. The diameter was ok but it was not dished enough to clear the 4 pot calipers.
The space saver that comes with 4 pot equipped cars must have more of a dish so they probably will fit the after market kits whereas the space savers from the 2 pot cars probably won't.
