he said he doesnt want to **** off the neighbours so blitz is out of the question. i have full H&S decat system with the jap style pipe from the turbo back and it is LOUD!!! if i was you i would consider either the racebox or h&s classic style back box for a good compromise, they both have a nice burble and come alive when giving it some, check the videoclip of the racebox on scoobyworld. cheers.

I have the racebox on mine with the afterburner centre pipe and a decat downpipe. It's all burble and no droan... sounds spot on You get a deep burble at low revs and a roar when you use the right pedal, but it's not too much.

The Afterburner Vortex is also a good backbox but is a bit louder than the racebox. The Afterburner looks jap the racebox looks rally. Depends what you are after really.

I too am in the same predicament as fat_boy and would be interested in hearing suggestions. I've recently purchased my first impreza (bug eye) WRX (totally UK standard spec) so as a newbie the first thing I wanna do is get rid of the silent twin pipe backbox and replace it with something that's gonna give me that noticeable burbble. However, that burbble has got to avoid pissing off the neighbours (like fat_boy). I have looked at scoobyclinic's magnex backbox (oval shape - not sure if this would suit the car) and scoobyworld's racebox. Suggestions please...

I had the Ninja with Vortex centre and I found it way too quiet. I then swapped it for the Vortex b\b and I was content (for a week or 2) then I swapped the full system for the Blitz R. Then I was satisfied.

As for pissing off the neighbours........I just kept it around 700 rpm when going out/in (this takes a bit of practice) to avoid compalaints
