Default Diagnosis N

(for Noise)

Over the last few months this has only happened twice. Which is weird.

As I drove at low speed there was a clanking - as though something metallic was caught under the car and dragging along the road. I stopped and inspected and could see nothing unusual. Both times this happened I then set off and the sound had gone.

Anyone any ideas (and how I can diagnose)?

There's ...errr something on the wing!

Maybe rear brake pads rattling, due to lack of shims? I have this, it's infuriating!

stone stuck between the rear brake disc and the metal backing plate? I had that same sound, best way I could describe it is it resembles the sound of a broken exhaust pipe dragging along the floor.
