Question

Does the Pipercross induction kit give the MAF problem ??

(sorry search down)

I am thinking of purchase, but I dont want problems.

Also which one will give best results. There are so many to choose.

Cheers in advance..

Olly.

Olly
I have a Pipercross induction kit fitted to my MY99.
It was supplied fitted by my local dealership. after 35K miles, no problems at all. I did change to the 2nd generation 'dry' cone about 7k miles ago as i was concerned about possible oil contamination.
IMHO
Try a search - i do not think any kit is immune to MAF failures, i believe one company are selling a kit with a MAF sensor guarantee.

No hard and fast conclusions have been reached as to the exact cause of failure, oli contamination, vibration and higher air flow destroying the surface of ther MAF have been put forward as likely suspects.

I've just fitted the pipework (all 4 inches of it) to my scoob but I used a blitz air filter (omg can I hear the dump valve go now) so I've got a cone filter going if u want it (cheep)... I've heard sooo many things, some ppl don't like the blitz (supposidly poor filtration) and others hate the foam ones (as there oil cleaned) so you can't win... I'm going with the blitz atm although its an expensive experiment if the maff goes
