Lightbulb Speed Camera Info Wanted

Hello. I am searching for as much technical information on speed cameras that I can get my hands on. My intention is to develop a legal means of defeating what i consider to be a cash extraction excercise. I am in no way advocating speeding or breaking the law, however i am a little bit miffed at cameras placed in out of the way places that are not accident blackspots or being snapped at 3 am when your the only car on the road while doing 43 mph in a 40 zone. Any help that any one could give would be of great use and much appreciated. This is not a pipe dream, I am serious and a very experienced engineer. I am in the process of building a prototype and have achieved a considerable ammount of success in testing. I am though reluctant to test this on the road as I am sure you understand i will only get about four attempts before i receive 12 points and an abrupt end to my field testing

Thanks in advance

LOL I fail to see how something that identifies and fines people who either:

a) choose to break the law , or
b) are so incompetent at driving that they don't know they're breaking the law or
c) are so unobservant they can't see the big white camera van or the massive yellow camera on an 8 foot high pole

can be considered a "cash extraction excercise".

You don't need science to beat the speed cameras just good driving skills, so save yourself time, money and a mocking on Dragons Den and take an advanced driving course instead

PS
I always find it interesting that some people think that the law ceases to matter in the early hours of the morning
I think tomorrow morning at 2am I will go an shoot someone in the face... it'll be ok, the roads will be quiet so it wont be an arrestable offence

Well, that would be amusing, were it not patently silly.
Shooting someone is wrong, Full stop. (Unless the someone is Brazilian, and you are a UK firearms officer ).

However, speeding? So it's dangerous to exceed a given speed limit during the day? Because there are lots of other motorists about.

But should the same arbitrary speed limit still be enforced on an empty road? In town, I'd agree, but quiet motorways, and A roads?

Yes, TECHNICALLY, it's still against the law, but enforcing it then is simply cash generation

Technically it is against the law because IT IS AGAINST THE LAW, you muppet. Road traffic offences are not time-of-day offences. Speeding is speeding whatever the time of day. The difference in the penalty handed down MAY be mitigated by the time of day if you highlight that issue at court.

Jeez, there are some bo-zos on here...

Backflash device ?

IITC used to fire multiple flashes back at a speed camera....

I was interested in a "vibrating" number plate, a cross between a sub-woofer and a signal generator to generate a large dopler (?) signal back to the camera.

I can handle the feeble attempts to anoy or have a dig. If I only give people something to have a pop at me over at least it makes them interact with others and attempt to justify their own social ineptness. I think of it as therapy

Reliant were the first to develop this. The original reliant metrocab, Which was made from a composit plastic was notorious for giving false readings on the old hand held radar guns the police used. I had a mate who was clocked at 129 mph while doing 35 .

Thank you for your comments, I am not out to discuss the rights and wrong just develop a product and stay within the law I neither wish to berate or mock peoples driving ability or justify my own.

Thanks again
