Default Good kiddie seat 3yrs+

Time to get a bigger seat for the wee one.

Anyone recommend a good one?

Particulary would like the side bolsters for her head, as when she hears the boxer rumble, she passes out.

The hire car one we tried a while back was no good, as she fell asleep with head on her knees

We've just got a Recaro Young Sport which does 9 months to approx. 12 years, does well in tests and looks very smart in black microfibre, approx £140.00. Seems very secure once fitted and so far highly recommended.

I second that.
I've had one for about 12 months for my eldest Son who is now 6 and disable it's a very good chair for support, and looks good too

Thanks, that does seem good.

My brother's got one of these. His baby boy's first ever trip in a car home from the hospital was safely buckled up in one of these in the back of his Ferrari 456 GTA . Well you've got to start them young haven't you?

PS: Recaro Sport

Check out the Which website, we had a young Profiplus by Recaro (new born)which did really well in the tests, went to upgrade it to the next one up and the tests actually said that should you have a side impact then your child WILL be hurt!!

Not sure about the 3 plus one but I certainly would not buy the 12 months upwards one, sorry to those above who have them, we ended up going for a Priorifix which was rated top on the Which website.

I loved my first Recaro but after reading that I would not even consider it!

I think the Recaro 'booster type' was rated ok but check the attached, will cost you a few quid to sign up but this is something thats is not worth skimping on!

Welcome to Which?

This is the seat we have.

Went for the Recaro Sport in the end too ...much better quality than the rest we tried, inc the more expensive Maxi (important if it's gotta last upto 12 years!) might have gone for something else if my car had isofix fixings tho'

Checked a few reviews & it did well, but didn't check the one on 'Which' ...not much point when I drive like miss daisy when the kids are onboard! ...plus the eldest (3 years) insists on wearing his full face cycle helmet ...much to the amusement of passers by!
