Default God damnit insurance!

Right im insured on a nmw 530i sport with a value of 8k (group 17)

And wanted a quote for changing the policy to a uk turbo at half the value of the bmw.

And they said no can do!

i know im only 20 but i thought a uk turbo would be fine?! I thought it was the imports that were a no go untill 21-25

Any youngs uns insured on a Uk please let me know who your insured with and how much please

Thanks

High risk car, high risk young driver unfortunately, though you can try keith michaels who will do their best for you look in the insurance section.

I would be having a look in the insurance section for all the advice you need.

Most will either say no or provide you with a massive quote due to your age though so be warned. I paid ~£1700 for my uk turbo when 21 and now im under the grand mark at 23 with a-plan

The cheapest I could find when I was looking for quotes last year was Admiral.

Sometimes its the insurance companies that are funny.

I was insured for about 750 on a 93 WRX, bought an upgrade, a 97 WRX-STI.

Thought i'd try for the remaining month of my policy with the current insurer to switch it over (thought id maybe have to pay a little more) but they wouldnt insure me. So i just cancelled and took out a new policy with the new company.

Insurance is a farse anyway, I only have it so i'm legally allowed to drive
Never had to use it so far.
So about 5 grand plus i've spent over the years what have i got out of it? Lots of bits of coloured paper.

try Ecar insurance i got insured with them on a 96 uk turbo i'm 21 with 1 years no claims driving for 4 years paying 1300 tpft no-one else wanted to touch me and Ecar wouldn't bother with an import at my age. also live in a fairly high risk area

Can't believe how much you all pay... you must either be crackers or footballers.

I think insurance has a lot to do if you live in a high crime area? When I moved away from Manchester my premium was cut by 50%

I found A-Plan to be the cheapest
