Default 20k service costs on my 07 STI?

After 7 months and 13k of driving I've the 20k service due in a few hundred miles. I've already bought an STI filter and new spark plugs which will be fitted on the day anyway but I'd like to know the rough costs I'd be looking at before the club discount.

I'm around the Herfordshire area and usually go to Slipend Subaru but if anyone swears by another dealer for good prices and service please let me know.

£250-ish I'd reckon.

I used to swear by those in my old MK4 GTI, they make a nice sound too! I'm so chuffed with buying the group N STI one that I told the missus.

"That's nice" was the reply... and she's a petrol head too!

Sorry to take issue with you here, but over the years I've had just about every after market panel filter going and as far as I can tell they don't make one jot of difference to a stdish cars performance...

..The only one that did make a 'remarkable difference' was the STi group n fitted to my RB5 which seemed to stifle the life out of it and was promptly replaced with the std paper one.

I have a K+N in my 07 now,but not one jot of difference over the paper affair

i must admit the 'remarkable' difference might be slightly over sold... however after fitting a STi one to my MY05 STi it felt a little different in a free'er kinda way. I havent done a side by side rolling road or power-run the substantiate these claims though.

Its like changing from 97RON fuel to V-Power - it feels like an extra edge but nothing thats suddenly gonna snap a driveshaft because its soo much more powerful

Jon's cars spend most of their time being polished or sitting in his garage to notice anyways!!

Ok mate, maybe 'remarkable'may have been a bit strong..but i didn't expect any 'pull' difference at all to be honest, maybe just a noise difference.....
