don't quite agree with the 215 being best, i ran 225's on my old classic with 18" P1 alloys and they never rubbed once and that was with eibach springs.
trouble with 215 profile is they look stretched on the rim and offer no protection at all.

would agree with F1's though, had pirellis and F1's and the goodyears win by a country mile

ermm, no they didn't. sorry. they used a 225/35/18 pirreli p-zero assymetrico on the WR P1 that had the 18" upgrade and wheel packages from your dealer had the 225 tyres aswell.

alot of aftermarket outlets sold the P-WRC1 wheels with a 215 trye (although i think this was 215/40) because the 225/35 is an odd size and costs more.

are you sure your alloys are ET53 offset? there are identical P1 wheels designed to fit new shape with brembos that use a ET46 offset, i'm just a bit baffled as to why yours rub i've had 4 up in the lowered car with a boot full of golf gear, bouncing down a rutted lane and no rubbing at all.

saying that, what tyres are you running?

these are the size that P1's came with if you had the optional 18" upgrade and they dont rub! type R did not have the same rear hub as a P1. If they are genuine P1 wheels they will have correct offset.
