is it true that the catalunya classic impreza is becoming rare?? if so how many are left???? are they worth much?? picked up one bout month ago no 51 never really heard much of the catalunya model?? any feed back would be great cheers

It will be true to an extent, as it is a limited edition and therefore rarer to begin with and will retain value better than a standard classic.
However they aren't as rare as a 22b or something like that.

Isnt it just a case of a badge here and there, colour and some stickers and stitching? In effect its just a normal wrx sti sedan.... isnt it?

Compared to the s20- models and 22b and p1, which all have better performace...

In 1996, Subaru again won the manufacturers title in the FIA World Rally Championship, finally winning the title with the points gained on the Catalunya rally of Spain. To celebrate this, another limited edition run of 200 cars (again with no number 13) was produced, this time going by the name of the Catalunya (I wonder why?) The main features of the “Cats”, as they are commonly known as are:

Special black mica paintwork (red metallic flecks)
Colour matched door mirrors
Gold Alloys (same ones as fitted to 2.0 Sport, but painted gold)
Front and rear seats and side door panelling re-trimmed in black with red highlights
Short rally style gear **** (initial sales blurb promised a quick shift!)

Special floor mats (black with red trim and Catalunya logo)
