Default FUEL PRICE ACTION!!!

I reciieved an email (one of those, sent to 10 people you know ones)

This basically was saying, instead of fuel protests or not buying fuel on certain days (which would be inconviniant for us all). Just not buy fuel from BP or ESSO.

It says the idea is that BP, and ESSO are the biggest companies and buy simple everyone avoiding them they would be forced to lower their prices.

Would this work, i thought that other companies ie tesco etc use the same fuel.

What do people think??

Matt

But the bulk of the problem isn't the fuel companies fault. I read on pistonheads the other day that the UK has the lowest fuel prices in Europe before taxes, something like 45p a litre for diesel I think it was but then we are the highest price after tax..... so Gordon Brown saying it's not the governments fault for increases in the oil prices (which in fact is true) is not a true reflection for pump prices we are paying, I wonder how much more revenue they have made based on their % tax cost of fuel.... an absolute fortune recently, sod their 2p proposed increased they had that ten-fold probably in the last months, easy easy ££ for them.

On the plus side I'm finding it pretty easy to get 27/28/29mpg on the motorway in my 08 STI and that's not even in Intelligent mode
