Default i need help!!

i took my car to scooby clinic couple weeks ago to get my bug eye sti re-mapped and add more bhp to it and the car was 320bhp when it got there... when i went there i spoke to them and told them that i want the car to run reasonable bhp around 400 or 420bhp they said its alright and it would cost me around £4,000... Today they phoned me saying the car is finished and its only 360bhp! basically i paid £4000 for getin the car 40bhp more!! i think this is ridiculous!!

Wow! Although I'd be happy to see 360 on my STi, £4k for an extra 40hp seems a bit steep though.

BTW have you facelifted your bugeye with blob bits? (saw your pics)
If so, was this expensive? I have a bugeye sti too, and would like to change the front headlights.

Sorry if my post doesnt help your situation

What were they doing for the money and what reason did they give for your car not getting to the amount of power you wanted?

Guess prices:

Remap £650

Decatt £400

Clutch £500

How would that have got you to 400bhp? Did go for some type of package with a turbo and a front mount etc???

Well if it is running 360bhp then they will have replaced the vf24 turbo that you had on, as there is no way that it will reach 360bhp.
Have you actually asked them what they have done to the car?

Personally I think your being a bit unfair to scoobyclinic by slating them on here without first talking to them face to face!

ditto marcus, theyve got one of the best reputations on here, and when a newbie comes on and slates them with a part story.... looks bad on you more than anything. hope you get it sorted anyways.

have to agree with the comment on how good they are, been a few times and spent quite a bit of money with them and never had a problem, something seems a miss.

well if youve got as much experience as you claim to have, and im not disputing it, then i presume you may have had hiccups in the past.

i also assume that you understand some companies are busy and are hard to get hold of at busy times of business. i also assume for one with so much experience, that you may have some class and try resolve your frustrations with the company beforehand, before coming on here with minimal posts and saying what you have.

all imho of course

good luck anyways

You don’t know if the power is at the wheels or the fly wheel? there is a big difference.
You agreed to spend 4k but you don’t know exactly what on
If you have been around Scooby’s for a long time and know the deal you will know a remap, clutch and decat don’t cost 4k

Doesn’t add up
