LOL 6.5 seconds is in standard form.
Lemme fill in the blanks a bit for you..... I know how the mind goes when you get older as my Dad is going the same way
Dual carrigeway between Dundee and Perth (A91 ?? :confused)
Impreza Turbo Terzo (standard 208-ish BHP ??)
Cavalier Turbo (239BHP)
Long roads with sweeping bends
(you keeping up now Petey ?? )
With more power, longer gears and a slightly better CD (drag) factor, the Cavalier WILL slowly pull away from this car.

heheh I know exactly what he is like so its no bother, I am just in for a laugh
Look at the number of my posts you sad Scotsman
See, most ppl might have done the smart thing and asked what spec my car is, what power it was running, the Impreza that I (and I quote) "left him slowly trying to catch me" rather than "left an Impreza Turbo for dead" as you so eloquently put
Still, it's a laugh.

Mr Lewis, may I draw your attention to the proper website - http://www.cav-turbo.co.uk
The one you mention is a similar (but not the same) Cavalier Turbo

Depends..... If he waits any longer to get his brain in gear and post something witty (there's always a first time ) then I might have fell asleep.
Will carry it on tomorrow tho if I do

You have German Shepherd Dogs?? so have I mate!! We cant be all bad after all!!
0-60 in 6.5 seconds is about what I remember from my Calibra Turbo days ...................... had an Impreza come alongside me in those days of 1994 I would have just winked and let him go - there was no way on gods earth that I would have thought about trying to keep up with a Supercar Killer!!

The VERY first ever Autocar RoadTest on the Impreza:-
Subaru Impreza 2000 Turbo
(Autocar 6th April 1994)
"There's no doubting the rally car in its blood, not least because it can leave a Cossie or Integrale standing"
Price as tested £17,719 Top Speed 137mph 0-60mph 5.8sec Mpg 18.7
For: fabulous performance, good value for money, excellent warranty
Against: dull grey cabin, baulky gearchange
------------------------------------------------------------------
I assume, therefore that you can kick a Cossie and an Integrale's 4rse too then????????
I think the cold is getting to your brain my man
Impreza 0-60 is 5.8 seconds Cavalier is 6.5 ....... which car did you say was pulling slowing away??
You sure you were looking out the FRONT window??

The very first AutoCar Road test of the Vauxhall Cavalier Turbo -
Vauxhall would argue that the Cavalier is a very different beast from the Escort Cosworth and doesn’t bear comparison. Nevertheless, its hard to ignore the fact that, with an advantage of 16bhp and 17lb ft, the Ford is only fractionally quicker from rest (60mph in 6.2secs, quarter mile in 14.9secs, 100mph in 17.4secs). In terms of top speed there is no argument: the Cavalier will reach 144mph, some 7mph faster than the Cossie.
Lets get some Cossie ppl in on this Petey
