There has been this damp weedy smell in my car (bugeye) for a few weeks now. At first i was thinking it was the air-con or the fan and was about to buy some air-con treatment when i decided to open the boot and

there is this infestation of fungi or something! Its white and extremely awful smelling. I have two 12inch Subwoofer Boxes in there and i think it has spread around everywhere in the boot.

I have an Sti spoiler and water has leaked into it and into the boot. Any ideas on how to tackle this perculiar problem?????

first plug the leeks and get a wet/dry vac to remove excess water and take out boot mat and dry out in sun or some form of heat

When my classic got "rather" wet after my rear screen leaked, I took out the rear seats, and the boot mat, then stood a dehumidifier in the car, running, for two days.

I HAD thought it looked dry, but the d/h took out over two LITRES of water, and I had the heater controls set to recirc

ah well iv vacuumed some of it. Figured id try doing the rest tmrw. Any ideas on how to get rid of the water in the spoiler? Or will it dry up once the sun comes out???
