"THE POND" = that tiny bit of salt water separating the UK from the USA

Also Known As "The Atlantic Ocean"

What was I saying before about intelligent Blondes

he he he he

only joking Bristol

In the UK a womans breasts are also known as her "Bristols"

Comes from the slang "Bristol Cities" = T!tties = T!ts = Breasts
(Bristol being a City in the UK)

But dont be offended

So do you know of a USA website that could be of use to me?

BOB

Question

Question:
I've noticed that several people here have '01 WRX's... which is completely weird to me, since I have never seen one, (being from the US, we only have '02's here). So can someone explain the difference between the '01's and the US '02's???? Thanks

Exclamation

Here we go, vulture alert.......

Basically, MY01 UK = MY02 USA. It isn't that simple, you've got 16" wheels, we've got 17", we've got the steering wheel on the wrong side etc.

How did you get the steering wheel over there?
Is that a special mod???
So otherwise, the body style is the same and stuff?

Hiya

UK & Europe got the new shape Impreza (Model Year 01 - MY01) which was released in 2001, hence the '01 bit but for some reason unknown to me it was known as '02 in the States

The '01 that we have has bigger wheels and better brakes as standard than the American spec

Now we have the MY02 (released November2001) which has a few minor changes - Aerial been moved and a flashy key.

Thats basically it as far as I'm aware...

Cheers

BOB

Almost forgot one major problem with the USA car -
The steering wheel is located in front of the passenger seat

Aerial?? Sorry... god I sound like a blonde.... and I thought I knew cars! LOL... anyways.
Ok so there for the uk'01 = us'02 ??? (except for the steering wheel of course)? And now you guys have a new '02 which is better than our '02? For what reasons? Say it slowly and maybe I'll get it this time...

the UK'01 had the aerial (for the stereo - that thing that plays music) mounted on the 'A' post pillar that runs up the side of the windscreen(windshield) on the later UK'02 it has been moved.
Not 100% sure where too as I dont pick mine up 'till March 1st so I havent seen it but have heard its either middle of roof or built into rear screen.

Our cars have 17" Alloy wheels and 4pot brakes as standard, but apart from that I think they are very similar..

Let me guess, either your at work and are bored or your at home surfin'...

What time is it over in the states where you are?

The UK STi7 is the latest special edition available over here.

It has an uprated engine, 6speed manual gearshift, etc

Spend a while reading through some past posts and things will become a lot clearer.

Cheers

A blonde lists her "mods" as:

"Materials used – vinyl purchased from Fast Signs, straight edge or razor
Cost - $10
Place vinyl over RS part of badge, cut out carefully with straight edge – and smooth out "

LOL!!!
Now leave me alone so I can ask my questions to gain information, so I learn more!
It's hard to beleive your like 26 and you have to pick on younger girls seriously trying to learn more about their cars, and future cars. So grow up and let me be!
I come to a UK site so I wouldn't get hasseled for legitiment questions by people by you! I'm sorry I wasn't instantly born with car knowledge, some of us need to ask questions, and look things up!

Subie Gal

You look more like a redhead to me, not that there's anything wrong with that or would you say your a "Strawberry Blonde" if you know that word over there.

Personally, "Blondes" that I have known have all been very intelligent women, could never understand this "dumb blonde" thing.

Guess its just referring to the stereotypical blonde model/actress kinda woman?

Hey Bob... thanks for your help. I am at work, (it's 3:00pm), and actually I'm doing research for a report for my speech class, as well as research for personal knowledge.
