and told me/fixed a no. plate bulb. i did let them keep the change (approx £15 tip lol) for the pleasure of not having to go back again within 7 days

Not seen a rusty sill on a Scooby before!
Basically, a welder should be looked up .... how big an area is the corrosion?
To choc above - I doubt that a £15 'tip' will compensate when the MOT Licence is recinded by the authorities.
