You could buy the white ones (you know ya wanna) then if you get pi$$ed off with cleaning them all the time, have them powdercoated a colour of your choice.

I had white GRA's in 17" on my TypeRA! They looked the dogs I have to say! She was a wr Blue car!
You could notice the dirt on them after a short time but I still only cleaned them as often as I would any other wheel!
I liked the look of them so much (as it's a real rally look) that I bought a set for my ProDriver Style STi in 18" to!
If you want to Just brush over the wheels when cleaning go for gun metal, but you will have to realy clean gold or white so the choice is yours, but I think you can tell what colour I'd go for!
Would you not wait a while until you could afford 18" as the 17's will look lost on the blob! 18's suit it so much better! If you can I'd go for 8x18's. I had 8x 18" speed lines on my Blob when I had her and they fill the arches much better!
Sorry I didn't go for the 8x 18"'s myself (mine are 7.5x 18") on the bug. You live and learn!
