People who are actually impressed with impreza's ??? I drove on the A1 today and had a big peugeot under taking me as I was waiting for someone to pull over. The car was full of people who gave the thumbs up as they passed I later passed them a few times and they had a video camera on the car Most people just sit in the outside lane at 70mph and won't let you past so it made a proper change to see people enjoy an impreza. Plus I booted it a few times in 6th gear so it looked better I would of been embarrased to see them If I booted it in the lower gears

A lot of people do have respect for the Impreza, you get the odd c#ck in his tdi A4 that has something to prove or the odd brat in their 106 gti that will do anything to get in front of you, but a lot of people admire a nice clean Impreza.

Yes, people do respect the cars. Once had a nice comment from an old chap in a pristine E-Type. And another in a Porsche at the petrol pumps.. so people who know their cars clearly respect the badge.

When I was in Germany I used to get the thumbs up a hell of a lot, especially driving back through Belgium, Holland and France!!

Doesn't happen as much over here but still does tho

The first day I had mine a group of school kids took pictures on their phones. Had plenty of favorable looks and comments over the 3 years I had it. Challenges from c*cks were either ignored or dealt with

Over the years have had tons of waves and thumbs up from pedestrians and other road users, be they kids or fellow car enthusiasts.

get loads of couriers stopping alongside me and having a chat.

Obviously the striking chiselled good looks of the driver must hold their attention...the car gets its fair share of looks too

i had a classic yesterday.

i was at a local postie posting the samco hose to the guy on here who bought it. parked up across the road and left the mrs in the car.

come back and she was giggling. asked her what the crack was and she said two chavs had walked past having a good ol' stare at the freshly washed scoobaru. apparently the ginger one of the two had said something like "its a bag of **** anyways". i lol'ed and thought nothing of it.

so pulled out and set off coincedentily the same direction as the chavs. obviously i give it a little blurt past them (the glorious nur spec-r getting the plaudits there), and out the corner of my eye i saw the "other" chav give the ginger one a slap round the head whilst staring as we went past.

thats guy deserves a fresh cold can of special brew

Two years ago at the Blackpool, big one.. I got spotted by someone in the queue, who told me my cars was ****ing fantastic and it goes like ****ing **** of a ****ing shovel .... his little girl was sat next to him ..

you've got two types of people the lover's and the hater's,i've had people on buses taking pic's and giving me the thumbs up! l had two lads on a motorbike who cut in front of me then the passenger pulled out his phone and took a pic,most people would love to have an impreza,when l got mine people slagged it off when l asked them if they've been in one they said no,l soon changed their minds.
For us minions who only have a WRX flooring it in 5th makes us smile

Last month I was parked in my local Sainsbury's and a old fella (70ish) came over to me. I was waiting for him to start moaning about noisy cars, speeding etc but to my amazement he said I had a stunning car and proceeded to want to know all about it and how it went.

Hats off to the old boy .
