One of our delivery drivers said he'd ordered a new shape Impreza, but its a 2Door one, called something like a STI Spec?320. He won't get it till Jan next year though. Its will be a Import, he has no photos of it, just a drawing, and it has cost him £29'000.

Never heard or read anything about a 2Door model, has anyone else?

He also has said that Prodrive are waiting for these as their rally cars, and will not be using the 4door model in WRC.(doesn't look like that on the main page on here ).

What do you guys think?

The standard UK STI is nearly 300bhp, the JDM STI is just over 300bhp (c305bhp), so why bother to produce a special edition that only has 20bhp extra? I know this was done once with the WR1, but that was for a more celebrated occasion.

I can't see there being a 2 door MY08. Stand side on to one in the flesh and they are quite a long car for a hatch. The doors would be huuuuuuge.

And Prodrive are using the 4 door hatch in WRC. There is a thread running right now with pics.

Thats what I thought to the above picture. The door is exactly the same size as a four door. I can't se this being the case on a Real Coupe 2 door. If they were bringing one out I'm sure prodrive would already have one instead of building this....

 

sure this isnt people getting confused with that impreza chassis and engined coupe ... forget who they've partnered with that are making this !!?!? was it toyota !?

I will add I doubt they'll ever build that coupe because ... well ... it looks quite nice .... sure their top designers will find the special subaru ugly stick to hit it with first

 

This is just a photoshop guys. But you must admit it looks rather good.

 

The coupe images looks like a Hyundai - wow, a step up in the design stakes I guess lol. Good photoshop skills, front bumper and rear wing is a bit ott for my taste though

They (Subaru) are after the Ford Focus market. You can get either a 3 door or 5 door Focus. Same for the Astra.

I think Subaru would be daft NOT to make a 3 door version. Better still if they do an STI version in it.

 

Well if this truck driver is telling the truth we'll soon see. He has had scoobies before, last one was a "ra'' with 400bhp.

 

It would look good if someone photoshopped it properly and put a proper 2 door shape in it
