Spare key
Hi -sorry I know this has probably been covered before - I did find a relevant post but can't find it again now!
I've only got one key with me scoob which I got last week. Managed to reset the pin to a code of my choice which offers a certain amount of relief! However, it concerns me that I have only 1 key.
I remember reading somewhere about people getting keys cut from dealers for ALL SORTS of different prices, some as low as £33! dealer in durham quoted me somewhere between £80-140 depending on th ekey type.
Anyone got any better (ie. cheaper) ideas or alternative cutters?
Mine's a 99 uk turbo 2000, which I gather is the type with a transponder in the key? There's no button or anything on it, but Im sure I've read somewhere that from 99 onwards there was transponders in the key.
Any help much appreciated! Got so many other thing si wanna spend money on that aren't keys so cheaper the better (as long as it works of course, lol!!)
Thanks
