Default hey... bit of help needed

hi guys im a newbee here

basically i got my eye on this 1999 2.0 subaru impreza sport and i would like to know a bit more about it. like stats? how it handles? top speed? how fast it gets there? and if i took it too a take day and pushed it a bit, could i get the *** end out???? if im honest, im not really fussed about going 100000000 mph as i dnt speed because i wana keep a clean license. for me, its how fast you get their!

reason for getting a sport and not a wrx or a sti is basically insurance, im 19 (nearly 20) and if some of you arnt aware, insurance companys like to make people like me pay for their christmas dinner for the whole company for the next 5 years! lol ! its 1500 and guna cost me just under that to insure it, else i would go for somthing a lot nicer like a wrx or an sti (gota love them things)

so yeah, any help would be much appriciated

depends what no claims you got really
my bro was 21 with licence for 4 years and 2 years no claims and managed to get his insurnace via ECAR at £1090 fully comp for a uk turbo 2000 impreza!!!
the sport will be a great start especially as you ar new to the impreza world!!
only problem will be that when you have it you will want a better faster model!!

hi Harry welcome to scoobynet mate.

I started out with an impreza sport a few years ago now, there great cars, very reliable and you can make them look like a wrx easily enough (some people get upset about replicas here) top end isnt massive, think they top out at about 110-120 ish. 0-60 is about 10 ish seconds, but theres plenty of mods you can do to get that up.

you might find it helpful to go and have a look on here; .:ImprezaSport.net:.

there are some decent people on there that really know the car.

HTH

well the sport is o believe about 120BHP whereas the lowest of the early wrx is 240BHP and the later ones up to 280bhp in various different guises
uk turbo 200 models are 208bhp for early models and 215bhp for later models
some have prodrive packs to increase the power and there are various special editions out there
there is a very late sport special edition that has a lot of kit from the uk turbo model including the bodykit and interior, this model cam in bright yellow only tho(tell me if it was any other colours)
