Default Does anyone like my points... I just got them!

Ouch...!

I just picked up a £60 fine and 3 points on my recent Scotland trip...

Now I'm kacking myself incase I picked up any more on the way back.

Whats this gonna do to my Insurance next year

I had a clean sheet before

Apparently there not to bothered about your first 3 points.

It was in the papers a few months back that most insurance companies accept that 3 points is just inevitable these days and it doesn't affect your premium.

So, far from demonising speeding as the government hoped to do, they've really just made it more acceptable.

Agree with the above, I just picked up 3 points in the lakes where the camera vans and static cameras are on the increase. I did some on-line quotes with and without the 3 points and it made no difference. Just need to make sure I don't pick up anymore now!

I understand where everyone is coming from by saying 3 points is inevitable these days but...my aunt has been driving probs 30 years with no accidents and no previous points/convictions, and after being caught doing 36 or something in a 30, her insurance went up over £100 IIRC.

Hmmmm the lakes eh!... thats where I got mine, cumbria.
Says I was doing 70 on a section of motorway that was reduced to a 50 for roadworks... Ah well, if you dance with the devil and all that.

a few years ago i was coming back along the A1 in edinburgh... hamering it and got done by a camera... a few weeks later and the boss said he got a ticket for me doing stupid speeds... told him to **** off and i wasnt taking the flack as it was a works van and everyone drove it (was also going to oz 2 weeks later !) police came to my house as he named me. i said it was but i was leaving to go to oz for a year and they said well that will be the end of that then ! astonished that they could just write them off ! but happy aswell !

3 points doesn't seem to make much difference to new insurance quotes, but pre-Impreza I picked up 3 driving my old Mazda 626, and insurance went up from £300 to £400.
