What turbo is found on the std sti type uk 02 reg cars??

Mine says IHI turbo on it is that a stock turbo??

Don't IHI make the VF series?

VF35 on a MY03. Not sure about an MY02.

I believe they do yes i thought it was a garrett turbo see when i saw ihi i though aftermarket!! as the car goes stupidly quick trying to find things that could be done!!!

Any ideas of other little tell tell signs of mods under bonnet?

Apart from induction, headers, exhaust and turbo?

Check the boost. That's normally a good sign.

ummm boost is running 1.4 bar peak and holding 1.3 cont.

Induction is a trust metal kind of inlet and mushroom filter, exhaust is a trust exhaust!!

That boost what sort of power is that as i think thats higher boosting then std.
