dont quote me on this but ive heard 225 on a classic may rub on the shocks depending if the car sits low.
i looked into it when considering some 225/40/18, although with yours being 17 may not have issues.

I fitted 225/45/17's recently and one side just rubs on the shock. The other side is fine Work that one out? My arches had been rolled previously so I fitted 5mm spaces until I change the tyes to 215 width.
So, you MAY need to run with small (5mm?) spacers if the tyres rub on the shocks.
