Up pipe, Remove:From top, tmic, turbo heat shield, down pipe, air box (induction kit), From underneath, splash guards, o/s arch liner(to remove a sensor), headers and heat shields, cross pipe, remove o/s engine mount bolt and jack up engine. This is suposed to take a subaru technition at least 4 hrs, took me about 6hrs, my cars a my06 2.5 wrx but pretty much the same, hope this helps,Down pipe is easy enuff once the heat shields are off.

Thanks mate. Why do I have to remove the headers? Why do I have to lift the engine? The thing is I have axle jacks and tools but no lifting equipment. Is this really necessary?

So I need to lift the engine? I don't think me and my mate could lift the engine. Hence, garage job for the u/p.

Trolly jack under the engine, Just to lift the O/S an inch or two away from its mount.
