ScoobyNet Rally Team / Car
#1
Hi All
We're just about to sign a deal for a company (who will at present remain nameless) to build the scoobynet rally car.
We need to find a donar car though, so are looking for a RA road car with diff control.
If your company would like to supply one, and become one of the main sponsors, or if you know of where to get hold of an innexpensive one, would you please let us know?
Many thanks
All the best
Simon

Si,
I hope I'm not doing the how to suck eggs routine but have you tried some of the breakers? I was on Town End's website ( http://www.subaruspareparts.co.uk )the other day and they had a couple of Fresh Water Damaged Scoobs going very cheaply. Admittedly these were 'just' WRX's, but as a donor car I would have thought that they would have been ideal! Another site worth trying is http://www.pro-parts.com they seem to have a few cars that might be suitable.
I'm fairly sure that I saw and RA on one of these sites...motoring news even had a Group N Impreza in Kit form (?) for sale a few weeks ago...
In fact here's the ad form the 9th January 2002 edition:
Subaru Impreza GpN rally car £15,500.00 with spares
Subaru Impreza GpN rally car in kit form £ 6,500.00
2 Door Subaru V5 ready to build into rally car
Ring for full spec, all 3 cars priced to sell.
01283 585005
07971 409745
Now, normal disclaimer follows...I have no connection etc with these people and so on
BTW Si, are you going to buy your own trailer for this one ?

Why do you think the diff control is on road cars?? maybe something to play with on those boring Sunday afternoon drives!
I beleive it was fitted for a reason, and not just to let the average subaru owner get to the office a bit easier...... catch my drift!!!!(i dont mean sideways driving by that!!)
