Does anyone out there Know why my gearbox could be crunching between third and fourth? MY00 Impreza

sounds like a synchro has gone between the gears.You could try high quality gearbox oil,may help.and always make sure the level is correct too.

As above.
Time to learn double de-clutching
And make sure the floor mat is not under the clutch pedal.
