Question Extended Warranty?

Did you go for Subaru Extended Warranty or 3rd Party Warranty?

looking at getting a 3rd party warranty however I once had one on a pass car and the warranty company required the car to be serviced every 6 months or every 6,000 miles

Can anybody recommend a 3rd party warranty company thats actually good?

I went for the subaru extended warranty, £1K for two years - not cheap but I thought worth it after they replaced two rear shocks and front brake discs on my WR1 after about 3 months.

Give peace of mind on what can be an expensive car to fix if it goes wrong.
Downside is you have to get main dealer to service but one I use has always been excellent with me.

Helps if you want to sell car too I suppose, which is what I might do later this year. Gives buyer peace of mind.

Got Subaru Proven warranty when I bought my 02 Wagon last year - it's been worth it for me, good thing about Subaru warranty is that it included Subaru assist - they actually know about Subaru's, so will send a flatbed to pick it up not just a tow truck, which is not good for a 4wd car. They also towed the car to the dealer when it broke down at home. I might get it for another year, although I think it's about £560 - not cheap!
