When the clocks are changed from kph to mph does the mileage still read in kilometers

You can fit a converter to the speedo cable and head to make it read in mph. On the plus side it removes the 112mph limit

For clarity: when you fit a converter (which is simply a 1.6:1 drop gear -assuming that we are talking about an early series WRXs-) the speedometer will display miles per hour and you should cover the 'KPH' legend with an 'MPH' one. From this point onwards the odometer will record the distance traveled in miles (in addition to the kilometres recorded up until conversion) and the speed limited, which will remain, will now restrict the vehicle to 180mps, from 180kph.

My car was in my mates garage having a check over.. and some plank in a vectra was arguing his car was faster than mine because my speedo only went up to 120mph.. My mate just told him to get a grip and his 1.8 Vectra was no match...
