Arrow wheel nuts query

have recently had my wheels done in black, problem is the nuts are silver

my problem is if i paint the nuts black, the paint will peel off when i tighten the nuts????

can you get a wheel brace or socket that wont damage the nuts??

not sure on the socket, but i painted the tops of my silver wheelnuts (with touch up paint) and got a winter out of them. this year they're looking a bit chipped, so it's not a long term option (unless maybe you get them painted properly)

you only really need to paint the tops as you can't really see down the flats of the nut

best bet is some anodised alloy nuts, i've got some for this summer so i haven't had a chance to try them yet, but they look pretty cool

im going to paint them black and then put a plaster in a socket thats one size bigger so it wont scratch the paint off, worth a try i guess
