Has something changed on Scoobynet recently?
My posts for the last few days have "forgotten" my ID and password (which is a PITA),
Do cookies expire after 11 months?

ChrisB; Thanks, forgot about that!
Does this get upset if you access Scoobynet from several different machines? Does it store it on the machine itself & hence require setting on each?
I may just be thick but it bugs me that some of my PC's will and some won't (up to 4 at the moment at various locations around the country)
(Can I have my Atari/Spectrum/ZX81 back please?)

CW, the info is stored on your PC('s) only in the form of a cookie. The webserver would have no way of knowing who you are, but your browser will send a cookie with your username and password to the webserver as soon as you connect. (and only to the website/page that issued the cookie BTW)
Switch to another PC, and the cookie will not be there, hence having to log on manually.
Cookies also have an expiry date, that's probably why it worked before but not any longer, as ChrisB pointed out.

ChrisB,
thanks for the pointer (i looked at Profile, but forgot Preferences). I have now deleted my Scoobynet cookies, and ticked to store my Username/Password for a year, so i will see what happens now.
Incidentally, this reply did NOT automatically fill in my details, but maybe i need to to re-boot (or re-connect) first.
I only use one PC to get (or at least post) to Scoobynet, and have only been registered for 11 months, so my original cookie should not have expired.
I did install Norton Personal Firewall a few weeks ago, but it is configured to pass Cookies to Scoobynet (and the logs confirm this). It is only during the last couple of days that i have had a problem.
I'll see how things go?
Cheers,
mb
