As Bodski says what's the spec to get that torque?
I've got 427 bhp and 462 lb/ft on my built 2.5ltr and that pulls like a train, watch out for your gearbox

It'll be Nm.... divide by 1.6

= 275 lb.ft

Unless it's a diesel !

Figures are correct it's a group A rally car,HUGE torque, compared to BHP because of the set up, due to the 34mm restrictor.

Not sure on the full spec as yet ,but getting in touch with the engine builder next week. I was told the engine cost £19k to build when new,but cant confirm that at the moment.

so is the engine being fitted to a road car, if so ditch the restrictor and get it remapped.

the cost is be understandable if it a full group a rally engine, but is it in a rally car?

if so, are you saying you are buying a group a car with no knowledge on them?
