Impressed with new Impreza STI
Had my car in at the local dealer yesterday getting the rear shock done under warranty. Had a drive down to the showroom (separate buildings) to look at the new STI.
I have to say, it does look better in the flesh. It was in Dark Grey Metallic (almost Black) and it looked quite nice. They had a WR Blue WRX in too, but that looked bl00dy awful.
Interior design and use of materials is in a different league compared to previous Impreza's. Still no Audi though. Seats were nice, and everything inside is nicely shaped & coloured. No Blue seats.
I'm really coming round to it now. The only thing I would change is the rear light clusters. Look too Max Power to me.
Overall, my opinion has change about the new STI. Dare I say it's back on the list. Still going to wait for:-
Prodrive option list (power / suspension / wheels)
the rumored hurried face lift.
The only real snag about getting another Subaru, is going to be the depreciation.
Dealer mention he'd already sold 4 with strong interest from others.

Was that at SG Petch in Richmond? My car's going in for a service next week and I was hoping they'd have an STI I could have a gander at...
Like you mentioned, the depreciation is going to be the killer, not to mention the tax, if it increases to £1000 as has been mooted (as if £400 isn't bad enough <sobs>)...

The tax is something that puts me off, just out of principle really, £400+ is a joke in my opinion, especially for me as I don't use my scoob everyday anyway.
