Hi, I am searching for a new impreza GC8?
Which is the better Impreza AND WHY?

Is the engine a open semi or closed one?
Both have a close ratio gearbox which is the better on

Thanks for helping me, but only reply with an answer or an argument!

Mike Wood gave this explanation of what a P1 "is"
The show cars were built from Blue STi V5 Type Rs made to look the part ( we used the white one for development as we had it 'in stock' and couldn't wait for blue ones to arrive.
A P1 isn't a Type R with bits removed, it best described as a V6 4 door built into a2 door bodyshell with Type R suspension. Bit more complex than that as some parts were fitted in Japan and more were fitted in the UK but it's more correct than saying it's a low spec Type R.
having driven quite a few P1's on road and track and owned and tracked 2dr STi Type R
the diffinative answer is................................................ .................................................. ........................................
Depends on how you use and what you want from the Car
The P1 is a very good all rounder suspension designed for UK roads
The STi Type R is quicker and a more "focused car"
IMHO
