Default Garage for Servicing near Scarborough

Hi, are there any Subaru specialists anywhere near the east coast? The nearest I know of is Scooby clinic, which is a 2 hour drive!
Thanks,
Vance

Well there is a place called Bridlington Car Care in Bridlington, they are a normal garage but according to them they work on a lot of subarus's. I had mine serviced there and was good.

Our monthly meets will be starting up again soon. You are more than welcome to attend. Come down & meet us, then maybe we can return the favour. Any excuse for a run out
Keep an eye out in the Northern Section for upcoming events etc.

Ant (YorkScoobs).

Thanks Ant, I'll keep my eye out for your meets ,it's a nice run out to York. By the way have you ever had any dealings with Brecks Subaru in York? Is the parts department any good?
Thanks

Sorry I haven`t had any dealings with them. Give Rick a ring, he`ll sort you out. What he doesn`t know, isn`t worth knowing.

Congratulations on the new car btw. There are a few that come over from Scarborough to the York meets. I`m from Cayton originally

My experience with the parts dept wasn't too good. They ordered the wrong parts...then when they fitted them they forgot a washer...The service dept. took 2 days and 3 attempts to recode a key. They are new to the marque, but I won't use them again after my experience

I have had odd spare parts from Champions who rally Subaru's too. Not had any work done. They are North of Whitby off the moor road to Teesside near Castleton.

Thanks for the replies everyone, a lot of useful information! Unfortunately I need a key so have ordered one from Brecks, hope they're better at it this time.

Well went to Brecks and wasn't impressed! It's not a good omen when the parts guy looks like he's out of the Happy Mondays! Didn't bother getting any oil of him cause he still thought their semi -synthetic was fully synthetic. Just got an oil filter, which I hope is the right one, as it's very small. Then the '30 minute' new key recoding fiasco started. After waiting an hour you just know there's a problem, and sure enough it's 'there's a problem'. No sh*t.
Well it seems there diagnostic machine has gone pop while it's been connected to my car and they need to get another one . I just hope it hasn't caused any damage to my car, as now I get an annoying beep when I arm/disarm the alarm. I phoned them to ask if the machine could have done anything else unwanted to my car and he said they won't know till they fix it up to the new machine whenever they get a new one. So not a great experience overall, Re motorsprt for my next service me thinks!
