My standard bugeye WRX varies between 22mpg for mixed round town/a and b road fun, to 27mpg for long 'average' speed motorway runs. A good remap with driveability in mind should improve it a bit.
Has it been remapped? It really should be with those mods. Have a search on here for respected mappers, such as Jolly Green Monster, Bob Rawle, Andy Forest, Pat etc.

A test of our PPPd WRX blobeye recently showed 20 mpg round town, 31 mpg on a long dual carriageway/A road run with some fun, and 36.7 mpg when driving reasonably carefully on the same route on the way back.
Obviously the mpg drops well below those figures if I'm heavy with my right foot and use the brakes a lot (!) .

my 01 wrx bug has just done 230 on 45 quid on v power, that was 110 motorway miles, with a couple of near top end short bursts, the rest was around town. when just driving around town it really does seem to eat petrol.
so yours is probably normal.
if pushing it and using boost can be as low as 180, car is standard fare, just backbox changed should notthink this affects mpg though.

I get about 240-250 on a full tank with mixed driving and a bit of fun.
Seemed to do more MPG after it was remapped with loads of bits on it than it did standard.
...............although I once done a whole 76miles on a full tank, but that was round Snetterton
