Default Buyer beware

Just seen an advert in the Jap. performance mag. for a 02 Sti Prodrive, reg. EU02 YDA on sale at EVOPerformance in Burnley.
This car was originally bought new by my son but unfortunately, after a year, was declared a write-off (twisted main frame) after an old lady in a Metro hit him virtually head-on. At the time, the car had 3,400miles on the clock. The ad. states that it is "one owner" which cannot be true as an extra 32,000miles have appeared on the clock! From the picture, the front bumper is not the Prodrive item, either. I wonder if whoever owned this car after repair, knew of it's full history, and I wonder if the garage now selling it are aware of it's true past?

so as well as the car being a bodge job "jim'll fix it", the ancillaries and workings may be seizing up too after 6-7 months in the cold

OMG...

I looked at this car before i bought my new Sti, the guy had it behind a few other cars, he didnt want to get it out for a test drive but was trying hard to talk me into leaving a deposit... if i did i could have it for 7k

Alarm bells are ringing *****!

In addition to that the seller persuaded me that i wouldnt trust him any further than i could throw him as he refused to let me have an RAC inspection done.

Its also in pretty tatty condition

Might not even be that car.....could be a ringer; i.e a stolen car using the original (smashed) car's ID

Not sure if it's the right website: Evoperformance.com but the WRX looks stunning:
